After a (longer than I thought) absence, I’ve finally returned. And I am so happy to be back! Two months, although filled with new friends and new adventures, is quite a long time to be apart from the blog. I hope everyone has had a great couple of months and I can’t wait to get connected with everyone again. 🙂

A week or so before I left for college, my bestie from home let me in on another one of her cousin’s hand-me-down bags. Usually her and her sister go through the bag first and I end up with the last pickings-a selection of too large pants and plain tees. But sometimes I come out with a great find that gets incorporated into my wardrobe for years to come. For example, this great green sweater that is perfect for autumn. Paired with this polka dotted jacket and short, black rain boots (which have both gotten a lot of use at college) makes for a great outfit for A. rainy days on campus and B. a returning outfit for my blog!

One thing that sucks about my small town college is the fact shopping is limited to our small mall (aka The Small aka TJ Maxx and Rue21) and Walmart. So when the two times I went home since the start of the semester I SPLURGED on clothes. Just this past weekend, I visited all my favorite stores. And now with a college closet almost overflowing with clothes, I have so many ideas I can’t wait to share with you!

I got this dress at the very beginning of the year and have never worn it until now. It was the last day of summer and to celebrate the beginning of senior year, I bought two dresses including this one. I loved the style with the flutter sleeves and the bird pattern (because who doesn’t like animal patterns?) but the back needed to be taken in a touch. Unfortunately, the dress got hidden away in the mending pile for the remainder of the school year. When I found it a couple weeks ago, I was a little bummed that it had been forgotten. But thankfully, this dress is so versatile with the seasons that one would wear it in the spring as shown here or in the fall and winter with colorful tights! So even though this is the first time I’ve ever worn it, I plan to do so many times after! 🙂

I am also happy to share that I have just become a Lucky Contributor! And to be perfectly honest, I’m so totally confused… So if anyone wants to give me the low-down on this whole business, I would much appreciate it! Merci merci:)
